🎵 “When the Road Found Us”

🎵 “When the Road Found Us” (Blink & Jon Cedric Mendaros collaboration — acoustic Americana / folk-pop ballad) Tempo: 80 BPM Key: D major Mood: Reflective → Hopeful → Resolved I walked the line through dust and pine, Counting stars to pass the time. Every mile, a ghost I chased, Every dream, a new mistake. I left my heart on a café chair, The jukebox hummed our song in there. You turned once, the neon burned, And all my lessons were unlearned. The road found us when the night was long, Two broken souls humming the same old song. We didn’t plan, we didn’t pray, But the road found us anyway. You spoke of rain in Tennessee, And how the thunder spoke to me. I laughed and said, “The storm don’t last,” You smiled and whispered, “Neither does the past.” Jon: All the miles behind still glow, Blink: Like tail lights fading soft and slow. Both: Every scar’s a map we trust— When the road found us. The road found us in the quiet dawn, The fear was gone, the pain moved on. We didn’t plan, we didn’t stay, But the road found us anyway. The road found us… and it still finds me.
