PART 1 – THE FALL / THE DEAD RISE
[PART 1 – THE FALL / THE DEAD RISE] (Distant wind... emergency broadcast... slow clean guitar.) "If anyone is receiving this transmission... civilization is gone. The infected were only the beginning. Do not trust the silence... do not trust the living... and if you hear the letters... E...P...I...C... follow them. They're still fighting..." (Heavy guitar erupts.) VERSE I Ash falls like snow on a world that's dead, Concrete pillows become my bed. Every skyline swallowed in flame, Nothing left but another name. Streetlights flicker like dying stars, Bullet holes decorate abandoned cars. The air tastes like smoke and rust, Every promise reduced to dust. I've buried friends with my own two hands, Watched whole cities turn into wastelands. One more sunrise... another scar... Still dragging hope behind this war. Every footstep echoes loud, Every silence draws a crowd. They never stop... They never tire... Marching straight through blood and fire. The weak all begged... The strong all bled... The lucky ones... Already dead. PRE-CHORUS They called it survival... I called it Tuesday. CHORUS E! P! I! C! EVERY PLAYER IS CRAZY! Raise your weapons! Raise them high! If we fall... They die beside us! I got your six! You got mine! Together we redraw the line! Steel and fire! Blood and fate! WE... DON'T... BREAK! VERSE II The dead don't scare me anymore. I've counted thousands... Maybe more. Swing the blade... Reload the gun... Another horde... Another run. Rotting flesh... Empty eyes... Predictable beneath the skies. Headshot... Hammer... Crush the bone... I've walked through hell... It feels like home. We stopped counting victories. Stopped mourning histories. The infected became routine. Like rain... Like breathing... Like another day. We learned their patterns. Learned their sound. One whistle... Whole streets came crashing down. We built walls. We built farms. Found laughter in broken arms. For one brief moment... We believed... Maybe... Just maybe... We had won. (Music suddenly cuts except bass.) Then... The radios came alive. "Unknown convoy approaching." "Fortress to the east has fallen." "Friendly fire..." "No survivors..." "No survivors..." (Everything explodes back into full band.)
