[Title: WE ARE TESTIFYING] [Verse 1] They think it strange when the road turns another way. They think it strange when the old conversation has nothing left to say. But the fiery trial was never called strange to those passing through. Something comes out of the fire that wasn't learned from watching the flame. [Hook] WE ARE TESTIFYING. “We believe, and therefore speak.” WE ARE TESTIFYING. Of things seen. Of things heard. Of mercy that left something worth remembering. WE ARE TESTIFYING. [Verse 2] Peter left remembrance for days beyond his own. John wrote from Patmos what was given to be known. Paul carried letters through prison walls and chains. Stephen saw heaven opened while stones fell like rain. Different places. Different hours. The witness kept moving. [Turn] “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you” There is the reason. Not because the world calls it ordinary. Not because the world calls it strange. Because something happened. And the witness remains. [Verse 3] A word can leave the mouth and disappear into the air. A testimony written can meet somebody years from there. A song can cross an ocean without the singer in the room. Remembrance found a melody— and kept speaking. [Bridge] “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;” And this— “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” [Final Hook] WE ARE TESTIFYING. The fire did not silence it. WE ARE TESTIFYING. The years did not bury it. What was believed became words. What was remembered became song. What Jesus Christ has done became testimony. [Outro] The world may call it strange. The Record already had a name for it. WITNESS. JESUS IS THE LORD
