[Verse] The old book lies open Its pages studied hard and worn thin Stories and wisdom tucked so deep within Its Not culture Its Not feelings Its Not even fleeting trends It’s just where Jehovah's Gods truth begins Oh yes Where the truth begins [Prechorus] It’s not the whispers coming from the crowd Not the experts who keep on talking ever loud [Chorus] Love and respect Let it guide your way Through the trials of night To the light of day Train your children Teach 'em right And trust in the Word Not the world’s delight [Verse 2] Oh Father and mother With A bond so tight Hand in hand through the long Cruel fight Yet having Children who listen With Hearts that obey Help build a strong family in the Bible’s true way [Prechorus] It’s not the whispers coming from the crowd Not the experts who keep on talking ever loud [Chorus] Love and respect Let it guide your way Through the trials of night To the light of day Train your children Teach 'em right And trust in the Word Not the world’s delight [Bridge] As we are out in service we hum in delight. Each knock, we make our faiths way to bring more of his light. Since we are there Open up God good book Let the wisdom flow. Plant all of Gods seeds And then help nurture them And watch them grow. Prechorus] It’s not the whispers coming from the crowd Not the experts who keep on talking ever loud [Chorus] Love and respect Let it guide your way Through the trials of night To the light of day Train your children Teach 'em right And trust in the Word Not the world’s delight
