[Verse] He walked this road knowing the end A crown of thorns a world to mend With every step the shadows grew But still he chose to see it through [Verse 2] The nails would pierce the hands of grace A silent storm upon his face He bore the weight of every sin And still he whispered let them in [Chorus] Forgive them Father they don’t see The love that bleeds from Calvary He knew the cost he felt the pain But mercy fell like healing rain [Verse 3] The jeers the spit the mocking cry The Son of God hung there to die Yet in his eyes no hate was found Just love that shook the heavens’ ground [Bridge] Prophets spoke of this cruel day When love would choose the harder way No crown of gold no earthly throne But a cross where he’d atone [Chorus] Forgive them Father they don’t see The love that bleeds from Calvary He knew the cost he felt the pain But mercy fell like healing rain
