"Tonight we're looking at a busy week ahead for the tri-state area. City council will be voting Thursday on the proposed rezoning of the waterfront district — a decision officials expect to finalize before Tuesday. Community boards have been asked to submit final recommendations by end of business Monday. Residents are encouraged to attend. In other news, the metropolitan transit authority announced a schedule adjustment affecting twelve lines beginning next week. Commuters are advised to check updated routes before Tuesday. And finally — the annual lights display in Riverside Park opens this weekend. Families are encouraged to visit early. The display runs through the end of the month and officials expect high attendance in the days leading up to the event. A beautiful time of year to be outside. To be among your neighbors. To be among the people you have always lived beside. We'll have the full weather outlook after the break. Stay with us."
