[Verse 1] 7:30 a.m., I go out for a run Make my way past his house, and he wiggles his butt He's kinda short and handsome And his coat is so fine He belongs to my neighbour, but I wish he was mine [Chorus] That corgi next to me He's as smart as can be That corgi next to me He's the best boy I see With his little short legs And his big floofy butt Every time he runs up to me I'm feeling the love! [Verse 2] He's waiting by the fence Every morning at eight With his nose between the pickets his tail's hammering the gate I give him a little scratch And he rolls onto his back Then he gives me a big goofy grin Like he's expecting a snack [Chorus] That corgi next to me He's as smart as can be That corgi next to me He's the best boy I see With his little short legs And his big floofy butt Every time he runs up to me I'm feeling the love! [Bridge – Half-time] I'm sure there'll be one day I'll get a dog of my own But until then While he's next door I'll never walk alone He's waiting at the gate When I get home All he wants from me is A scratch and a bone [Spoken – Cute] Who's a good boy? YOU'RE A GOOD BOY! [Fast Instrumental Break] [Chorus] That corgi next to me He's as smart as can be That corgi next to me He's the best boy I see With his little short legs And his big floofy BUTT! Every time he runs up to me I'm feeling the loOOOOOOVVVEEEE! [Final Chorus – Big, Energetic] THAT CORGI NEXT TO ME! HE'S AS CUTE AS CAN BE! THAT CORGI NEXT TO ME! HE'S SO HAPPY AND FREE! HE'S GOT THAT FLOOFY BUTT! AND HE LOOKS SO COOL! THAT CORGI NEXT TO ME! HE MAKES MY HEART FULL! [Outro – Guitar Riff and Final Drum Fill]
