RAINBOWFIRE From the tower of the dying moon A shadow takes the sky A wizard crowned in crooked horns Comes laughing as he flies Beneath him coils the dragon With seven colors burning bright He opens up his ancient jaws And paints the world with light Once the kingdom lived by war By iron, blood, and flame The strongest men would die with pride To carve their fathers' name They raised their swords to ancient gods They dreamed of glorious death They wanted songs about their deeds And thunder with their breath RAINBOWFIRE! Burn the kingdom bright! RAINBOWFIRE! Turn the dark to light! No more war, no more pain— Just bubbles falling like the rain! The wizard laughs above the clouds The dragon screams with glee A river made of strawberry foam Rolls down toward the sea The warriors drop their battle-axes And pick up little drums The old gods stare in disbelief At what their kingdom's become RAINBOWFIRE! Burn the kingdom bright! RAINBOWFIRE! Destroy the night! No more blood, no more slain— Just dancing through the sugar rain! Where once the banners flew Now butterflies arise Where once the war horns called Now lullabies The mighty sons of battle With muscles forged in steel Are sitting in a meadow Petting rabbits they can feel "Come brother... Lay down your sword..." The king who swore he'd never bend Now wears a flower crown The knights are singing hand in hand As rainbow flames rain down They speak of love and friendship They bake a thousand pies And every former berserker Has sparkles in his eyes RAINBOWFIRE! The old world fades away! RAINBOWFIRE! There is no war today! Throw your weapons in the grain— LET THE BUNNIES RULE AGAIN! Rainbow... Rainbow... Rainbowfire... ...and the warriors danced.
