[Verse 1] When the road looks steep before us And the voices say, “Turn back” You are near, Jehovah, with us You will never leave our track Ten saw walls and trembling nations Lost their courage in the dust But two hearts held to your promise Choosing faith because they trust [Chorus] Jehovah is with us, we will not be afraid No human voice can make us doubt the path you made Your love teaches right from wrong, your truth will be our guide Jehovah is with us, we stand with you beside [Verse 2] Fear of people fades like morning When we keep your friendship dear Give us wisdom to discern well Give us strength to persevere Though the giants seem much greater Though the way appears unknown You can turn the tide before us You can lead us safely home [Chorus] Jehovah is with us, we will not be afraid No human voice can make us doubt the path you made Your love teaches right from wrong, your truth will be our guide Jehovah is with us, we stand with you beside [Bridge] Let our love be stronger than the fear that calls our name Help us hold your counsel close and never leave the truth for shame With a heart that seeks your pleasure, we will walk where you direct Your faithful hand will keep us, and your promise we respect [Final Chorus] Jehovah is with us, we will not be afraid No human voice can make us doubt the path you made Your love teaches right from wrong, your truth will be our guide Jehovah is with us, we stand with you beside [Outro] Jehovah is with us We will not be afraid
