Let me be a nobody, no one there inside of me only a window to the Light pouring through so Bright only endless Joy there and a perfect prayer [female voice "ah" ] One day near the chicken coop To our haunted trailer I was on my way when a pivotal thought struck "I could be wealthy or famous someday" And there I stood completely stuck wondering about this unique thought My attention was riveted These things were not prohibited But what would they mean for my future? I remember much of what I thought Yes, fame and fortune could come, why not? But were they worth a life of trying How long I wrestled there I don't recall But in the end the thoughts made clear Fame and fortune were NOT worth seeking at all Were these thoughts just chance? that shaped my life dance They freed me from a common trap. So I never lost time on that! It wasn't long thereafter I was given my first Calling by the Master even before I ever saw him spiritually and to me alone But this time I knew the thoughts were not my own but how he was speaking to me even though it was secretly Looking back, it was clear to see those thoughts of wealth and fame were seeds that transformed me and my orientation to everything. Instead of wealth and fame, in Divine Love I wanted to remain. To serve the Master and the Light became my heart's great delight. Devotion to the Source of all Became the highest call I needed little for myself but passion to follow the Light and always do what it called me to This grew in me profound tranquility and a swelling ability to soar on wings of ecstasy [chorus] Life is such a mystery Seeing it now nearly complete Guidance and Grace made my life meaningful and deep.
