[Spoken Introduction] Jesse and Spook finished securing the load in the rear cargo bay. It was the same kind of work she had done before, but the pace was more relaxed, more… casual. [Verse 1] “So this is the normal kind of work we do?” She asked as they finished. “Sort of,” he pulled the last bar into place, “we’ve gotten a rep over the last few years for delivering into…difficult locations.” [Chorus] We run to difficult locations Where the maps turn gray Where the signals fade War-torn skies Cracked foundations We bring what they need and we don’t get paid in praise Difficult locations Burned-out mines and trembling ground If you feel the hull vibration That’s just fear trying to talk us down [Verse 2] “Difficult?” Her curiosity was piqued. “War zones, asteroid mines, unstable worlds… places others don’t want to risk losing their ships,” Spooked grinned slightly, “sometimes we even drop into a location without anybody knowing we’re there [Chorus] We run to difficult locations Where the maps turn gray Where the signals fade War-torn skies Cracked foundations We bring what they need and we don’t get paid in praise Difficult locations Burned-out mines and trembling ground If you feel the hull vibration That’s just fear trying to talk us down [Verse 3] We'll pick up stuff that someone doesn’t want public Things no one should know they have.” “Like contraband?” “Like people.” Jesse took a sharp breath. He was referring to the rescue The one she had been part of. “You’ve done that before?” she had to know. [Chorus] We run to difficult locations Where the maps turn gray Where the signals fade War-torn skies Cracked foundations We bring what they need and we don’t get paid in praise Difficult locations Burned-out mines and trembling ground If you feel the hull vibration That’s just fear trying to talk us down [Outro] “Only once,” he answered casually, “about a year ago we pulled a team off of a newly terraformed outpost. They had discovered something, two corporations sent assassins.” “What could they have uncovered to get that kind of hate?” Jesse wondered. “Don’t know,” Spook grinned, “but they nuked the outpost thinking they were still there. We got them out... without anyone knowing we were even there… just like on New Spain”
