[INTRO] (instrumental) [VERSE 1] Woke up feelin' brave—said I'm changin' my life, News hit hard like a barroom knife. Coffee maker died, coughed out regret, Instant rocket fuel—yeah, not dead yet. Oatmilk in my cup, tryin' to look refined, But my nerves been runnin' overtime. Holdin' it together, duct tape and prayer, World says "you okay?"—yeah… I'm barely there. [PRE-CHORUS] Doin' the most just to do the least, Tryna act fine but my mind won't sleep. [CHORUS] I picked a helluva week to stop drinkin' When the whole wide world won't stop twitchin' Stone cold sober in a mess like this Tryna stay strong but I'm sad as hell No whiskey buffer, no shut-down thinkin' Yeah I picked a helluva week to stop drinkin' [VERSE 2] Cardboard chaos, bills on the counter, World actin' up like a bar with no bouncer. Phone won't quit buzzin', everybody needs a thing— I got no bandwidth, I can't save everything. Tryin' to be peaceful but the air feels mean, And my brain forecasts every bad dream. Boundaries up—barbed wire and rhinestones— And I picked a helluva week to stop drinkin'. [PRE-CHORUS] Learned the hard way—I know what it brings, A little "just one" turns into everything. [CHORUS] I picked a helluva week to stop drinkin' When the whole wide world won't stop twitchin' Stone cold sober in a mess like this Tryna stay strong but I'm sad as hell No whiskey buffer, no shut-down thinkin' Yeah I picked a helluva week to stop drinkin' [BRIDGE] Some nights my mind goes, "Just pour one to breathe," But I know that lie—and it don't set me free. So I build that pillow fort, lock the door, stay in... Cat lookin' at me like, "Girl... don't start again." [FINAL CHORUS] I picked a helluva week to stop drinkin' When the whole wide world won't stop twitchin' Stone cold sober but I'm standin' my ground Ain't goin' back, no, I'm not breakin' down No whiskey buffer, no shut-down thinkin' Yeah I picked a helluva week to stop drinkin' ...and it ain't even Friday. [Outro] (instrumental)
