πΆ Song 174 β Beyond the Temple Courts
Paper 174 β Tuesday Morning in the Temple πΆ Song: Beyond the Temple Courts (Verse 1 β The Master's Farewell) Morning sunlight crowned the hill, Jerusalem lay silent still. At Simon's house the friends gathered near, Not knowing why the hour felt dear. To Andrew spoke the burdened guide: "Keep the brethren unified." To Peter came the solemn call: "No sword shall save the Kingdom's cause." To Thomas: "Walk by faith when sight shall fail." To John: "Let love and mercy prevail." To Judas even kindness came: "I've loved you still, despite the pain." (Verse 2 β A Word for Every Heart) To James: "Look deeper than defeat appears." To Nathaniel: "Stand firm through coming fears." To Philip: "Trust though pathways disappear." To Matthew: "Remember grace that brought you here." To Simon: "Seek the things no eyes can hold." To the twins: "Do not let mystery chill your souls." The Shepherd knew each hidden need, And planted there a living seed. (Chorus) Beyond the temple courts of stone, The Father's heart was being shown. Before we ask, Before we pray, His love has already found the way. Beyond all law, Beyond all fear, The God of mercy is already near. (Verse 3 β Divine Forgiveness) Peter asked: "Must man repent before forgiveness comes?" And Jesus turned to speak of God, Not as a judge but loving Father. "The Father knows your every fight, Your weakness hidden from men's sight. His mercy does not wait in line, Nor pause until your words align." The sun gives light before it's praised. The Father loves before He's raised. (Verse 4 β Understanding) "The more you understand a soul, The more compassion takes control." A careless word, A wounded heart, A life torn slowly apart. When seen through Heaven's patient eyes, Many condemnations die. The Father's wisdom helps Him see What others never pause to perceive. And understanding grows to grace, Until forgiveness fills its place. (Verse 5 β Caesar's Coin) Then rulers came with cunning schemes, Seeking cracks within his teachings. A silver coin was placed on high, Beneath Jerusalem's watchful eye. "Whose image marks this piece of gold?" "Caesar's," the gathered voices told. Then Jesus spoke: "Give Caesar what his empire claims, But give to God your minds and names." For coins bear kings and earthly power, But souls belong to God forever. (Verse 6 β The Sadducees) The Sadducees arrived that day, Laughing resurrection away. They mocked the hope of life beyond, Measuring Heaven with earthly forms. Yet standing near was Jerusalem, Still whispering Lazarus' living name. A man who walked among the dead Yet once again his footsteps led. The rulers saw, Yet would not see. The sign remained. The heart stayed free. (Bridge β Many Mansions) "My Father's house is vast and wide, Far beyond mortality's tide. Many mansions, Many spheres, Many worlds beyond these years. Death is not the journey's end. Only where the next begins. The soul awakens, Still the same, Yet growing upward toward His name." (Verse 7 β The Greatest Commandment) Then came a scribe with honest eyes, Seeking truth and not disguise. "What law stands highest over all? What truth remains when systems fall?" The Master answered strong and clear: "Love God with all that you hold dear. Heart and mind, Strength and soul. Let the Father's love make you whole." Then came the second, just as bright: "Love your neighbor with equal light." (Verse 8 β The Inquiring Greeks) Then Greeks appeared from distant shores, Knocking softly at the door. Philosophers from another land, Seeking the touch of God's own hand. The world was coming. The hour drew near. The nations gathered. The message grew clear. No longer Israel's hope alone, The Kingdom sought the whole world home. (Final Chorus) Beyond the temple courts of stone, The Father's universe was shown. Forgiveness first. Understanding deep. Promises eternal for souls to keep. Many mansions. Endless light. Faith beyond mortality's night. Love God. Love mankind. And leave the lesser things behind. (Outro) The rulers argued. The Greeks drew near. Lazarus lived. The cross was here. Yet one truth rose above them all: The Father loves His children first. And those who learn that love will live forever. β¨ππ
