The North Beats On — Ember of Midgard — Epic Nordic Folk Rock — Folk Music

THE NORTH BEATS ON [Verse 1] The cold wind calls across the stone Through silent hills we walk as one The ravens fly above the flame They know our blood, they know our name The storm rolls down from mountain skies But no one here will turn or hide With steady hands and hearts of fire We lift the old northern banner higher [Pre-Chorus] Hear the drums across the land Feel the earth beneath us stand Through the dark, through wind and rain The northern fire will rise again [Chorus] The North beats on, the North beats on Through the night until the dawn Raise your voice and stand up strong The North beats on, the North beats on Fire high and shields held strong Side by side, where we belong Though the road is cold and long The North beats on, the North beats on [Verse 2] The northern lights begin to glow Above the fields of ice and snow The ancient words are in the air A promise every heart will share We carry those who came before Their songs still live from shore to shore No chain of fear can hold us down We stand beneath the raven’s crown [Pre-Chorus] Hear the drums across the land Feel the earth beneath us stand Through the dark, through wind and rain The northern fire will rise again [Chorus] The North beats on, the North beats on Through the night until the dawn Raise your voice and stand up strong The North beats on, the North beats on Fire high and shields held strong Side by side, where we belong Though the road is cold and long The North beats on, the North beats on [Bridge] Let the thunder shake the sky Let the red flames climb up high From the mountains to the sea We will rise, forever free When the darkest night has gone We will meet the rising sun One strong heart, one northern song The North will always carry on [Final Chorus] The North beats on, the North beats on Through the night until the dawn Raise your voice and stand up strong The North beats on, the North beats on Fire high and shields held strong Side by side, where we belong Though the road is cold and long The North beats on, the North beats on The North beats on! The North beats on! Raise your voice and stand up strong The North beats on! [Outro] When the final storm is gone And the first light meets the dawn Hear our voices, deep and strong The North beats on The North beats on
