The Orphan & The Orb - Episode 1
[Title: Old Man Wizard] [Style note: keep recurring voices distinct and consistent across the entire song. The Orphan narration is the main lead storyteller voice. The Orphan dialogue is the same character but closer, drier, and more immediate. Old Man Wizard is a clearly different older male voice, lower and more weathered. Do not break flow or cadence unless specified in lyrics.] [Intro] [distant village ambience] [soft wind] [low mystical drone] [background villagers whispering, layered and distant] [Villagers - background whispers] Most High has no face... Don’t speak of the banished one... The orb knows... Bad omen... [Verse] [The Orphan - narration] I come from a place Where the leader of our village has no face No one has ever gazed upon most high Except for one guy Banished when i was just a child So Now I quest and seek him out to find what this is all about I have this magical orb that track essence And oddly enough it lead me right in your direction. [The Orphan - narration] An old man looked me up and down frowned for a second Turned around put his guard down “come in come in welcome” When i approached this small cabin an old man answered and i figured now I’m standing in a mansion this guys obviously a wizard [Old Man Wizard] [older male voice, dry and confident] "You say you’re looking for a man but have failed to give description" [The Orphan - narration] I reach deep into my pocket hand the man the only picture One glance and i could tell it was a guy that he knew [Old Man Wizard] "You been looking for this bastard i been looking for him too! My ancient spellbook that was everything i knew! and my dark cloud familiar only one ever been brewed." [The Orphan - dialogue] [same lead voice, closer and more reactive] "Dark what?" [Old Man Wizard] "Listen up i can maybe help u. That lil orb u got there, its been ran out of juice" [The Orphan - narration] My orb floats to his hand [Old Man Wizard] "Now Come to the back room" [The Orphan - narration] If i piss this guy off I’ll most likely be doomed so i follow [break] [record scratches] [odd magical sounds] [sample "old man wizard"] [magic crackles] [verse2] [The Orphan - dialogue] "Now Could u tell me all that u know about this orb?" "Well in my village people worshiped it like it was mighty lord. I could sense a time of evil getting closer time to come. So i took it-and so look.. I’m here what’s done has all been done. Many elders in my village tells the stories of its past Not an ordinary orb it was created by a that" [Old Man Wizard] "A ghast!?" [The Orphan - narration] The wizard asked while letting out a vicious laugh. [Old Man Wizard] "These are lies but they are wise for keeping all this under wraps. It’s An item so rare most wizards don’t believe it. Conjured only when a holy falls in love with a demon. When this happens what is balanced in nature becomes uneven. All the chaos and the peace solidifies when both stop breathing-See when!!.. The demon and the holy are alive And in love this corrupts the weak hearts and weak minds. This also causes worlds that don’t ever combine to intertwine. So now even lowly demons pass through worlds like yours and mine." [The Orphan - dialogue] "So this orb tell me what exactly does it do?" "Everything i just told you was all that i knew." [The Orphan - narration] Then the orb lights up [Old Man Wizard] "Now it’s got a bit of juice! What you do with it from here will be all up to you Head south to to gold city that’s what I’d do U could find u a clue. Hell, might even find you a crew. And the orb’s a mystery so keep an eye on it too" [The Orphan - narration] Said my goodbyes to old guy a little wiser wit more food, and this Orb. [Break] [low ominous pulse] [forest ambience] [dj scratches] [Verse 3] [The Orphan - narration] I knew the path was risky the one to gold city I’m not a fighter but witty now i have this orb with me Is it my mind trying to trick me i shoulda brought a sword wit me Now I’m trailing through this forest scared the horrors might get me Suddenly in front of me i see two shadowy figures I feel fear as i get near the shadows get a bit bigger The sun fell so it’s way too dark i can’t tell Should i stray from the trail no man has done it and lived I take a good look around and see there’s no where to run I look ahead at the shadows now i only see one Did they notice me hopefully not no time to soak in my thoughts there’s no way I’m getting caught I’ll climb to the tree tops Quickly quietly in my childhood I’d climb trees Now I’m climbing for my life pondering the irony Looking down all around but it seems i can’t see All of sudden i fall pushed from behind me [Outro] [sudden drop] [dark impact] [Dj scratching] [echoing silence]
