Blue Flash Mile Written by David Wright 31 July 2026 Copyright © 2026, by David Wright [Verse 1] We hit the block, suspect in sight Light him up, but he takes flight Hands on the wheel, eyes on the lane He cuts left hard, then back right again Brake lights flash on a winding road One wrong turn and the whole thing folds I hear the crackle, “Whiskey Four, Box him in!” We drive door to door [Pre-Chorus] Foot on the floor He failed to plan ’Cause we know this town Like the back of our hand [Chorus] Blue flash mile, won’t let him slide Blue flash mile, we’re right behind Hands stay steady, sirens cry Blue flash mile, we own this night (Blue flash mile) (Blue flash mile) [Verse 2] We bank that corner, close to the curb He checks his mirror, makes his move Cuts through traffic ’cross the center line Nearly wrecks, but not this time Bridge up ahead with spikes in place He’s running out of road to take He sees the threat as he rounds the curve Makes it past, last-second swerve [Pre-Chorus] Foot on the floor He failed to plan ’Cause we know this town Like the back of our hand [Chorus] Blue flash mile, don’t let him slide Blue flash mile, we’re right behind Hands stay steady, sirens cry Blue flash mile, we own this night (Blue flash mile) (Blue flash mile) [Verse 3] We close the gap and make the call PIT him out, make his engine stall Tires break loose as he slams the curb Car flips over and starts to burn Door flies open, shots ring out We hit the brakes and fan around He fires blind, then drops the gun Cuts through brush and starts to run [Bridge] Cornered now, he can hear us coming No more room for the lies he’s running Out on foot, we close in to trap, We move as one, and we close that gap [Final Chorus] Blue flash mile, don’t let him slide Blue flash mile, we’re right behind Hands stay steady, sirens cry Blue flash mile, we own this night Blue flash mile, lock it down Blue flash mile, no way out now (Blue flash mile) (Blue flash mile) [Outro] Hands in cuffs, what a way to go You can’t outrun the radio No fight left, now watch your head Could be worse, you could be dead
