A Peculiar Treasure (Alan R. Walker) [Apr 2026]
As a young boy I searched the fields so wide, Hunting shiny rocks where treasures hide. Breaking them open with hope in every hand, Yet never finding what my heart had planned. A peculiar treasure, the Lord calls us to be, If we obey His voice and keep our covenants free. His special people, chosen and set apart, Bound to Him forever by a faithful heart. He spoke to Moses on the mountain high, Promising blessings from heaven’s supply. Obey My voice and hold My covenant tight, Then you shall be My treasure in My sight. A peculiar treasure, the Lord calls us to be, If we obey His voice and keep our covenants free. His special people, chosen and set apart, Bound to Him forever by a faithful heart. It takes a broken heart, a spirit contrite, Willing sacrifice both day and night. Lay aside the world and all its fleeting gold, To cherish Him above all we can hold. Through every trial, blessings gently flow, His power lifts us higher than we know. We are accepted as we walk His way, His covenant people, rising every day. A peculiar treasure, the Lord calls us to be, If we obey His voice and keep our covenants free. His special people, chosen and set apart, Bound to Him forever by a faithful heart. Because He lives, this promise we can claim, A peculiar treasure in His holy name. Obey and covenant, let His love shine through, My Father’s treasure — I belong to You.
