Pride, Envy, Wrath, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth, Greed, and Love, Played hide and seek beneath the skies above. Pride wore a crown only he could admire, Envy chased dreams that fed her desire. Wrath burned worlds with his furious flame, Then wept alone beside his own shame. Gluttony feasted, yet wanted more, Lust chased passions that vanished before. Sloth lay dreaming, too tired to rise, Greed counted treasures that faded like lies. They searched through darkness, through earth and sky, Seeking the Love that all tried to find. The only place Love could hide is the heart, It lives where no darkness can enter or chase Not in power or wealth, Love resides in soul’s sacred place. Far from the sins above that tear souls apart.
