KIRTAN CONSCIOUSNESS

[singer A] From the depths of the soul, the fire ignites... Banishing the dark, bringing in the light... We gather in the circle, leaving fear behind Chanting sacred names to elevate the mind The ocean of devotion washing over me Breaking all the chains and setting spirit free! [transition] [singer B] I am both Alpha's promise Omega's grand finale In every dawn's awakening Every twilight's alley I am the center radiant The cosmos wide surrounding An ageless entity Divine essence in me abounding I am, I am Alpha and Omega I am, I am The first and the last I am, I am Burning through the ages (I am, I am) The mirror that will last [melodic transition] [singer A] The rhythm is a thunder rolling through the floor Hearts are bursting open, calling out for more A chorus of the faithful singing as one voice In this sweet surrender, watch the world rejoice! Raise your hands! Let the heavens know! Let the sacred river of the mantra flow! Spinning in the light, stepping out of time! Singing out the glory of the name divine! [transition] [singer B] In the breaking, I remain In the lacking, I arrive Every end becomes a doorway Every shadow keeps me alive I am not a moment I am not a name I am the pulse of everything And everything the same I am, I am Alpha and Omega I am, I am The first and the last I am, I am Burning through the ages (I am, I am) The mirror that will last [instrumental] [singer A] [Call] Govinda Jaya Jaya!
