[Verse 1] I found your note in the rain Folded up by the curb Blue ink on a coffee stain Three words I still heard You said, "Go make a mess" So I did, then I smiled I let that little paper plane Carry me for a while [Pre-Chorus] Now I'm walking lighter Like I shook off the weight Got that little spark back Right under my face [Chorus] Paper plane promise Take me somewhere new Paper plane promise I'm still following you Cut through the gray Then you vanish in blue Paper plane promise That's what I do [Verse 2] There's a dent in my shoes From the curb by the shop And the wind on my sleeve Like it never would stop I chased your line down the block Past the fruit stand lights Then it turned in the sky And got bigger than life [Pre-Chorus] Now I'm walking lighter Like I shook off the weight Got that little spark back Right under my face [Chorus] Paper plane promise Take me somewhere new Paper plane promise I'm still following you Cut through the gray Then you vanish in blue Paper plane promise That's what I do [Bridge] If I fold it again Maybe I fold me right Maybe the smallest thing Can crack open the night [Final Chorus] Paper plane promise Take me somewhere new Paper plane promise I'm still following you Cut through the gray Then you vanish in blue Paper plane promise That's what I do Paper plane promise That's what I do
