[PHONE TALK INTRO — SILL-E TO GOD] SILL-E: God… You know my story better than anybody. You saw me when I was just a kid. You saw the pain, the confusion, the mistakes, the losses. I didn’t understand it back then… but now I look back and realize You never left me. So let me tell my story… [VERSE 1 — CHILDHOOD / ARIZONA] I was just a little boy watching grown folks fight, Daddy drunk, pool sticks swinging in the middle of the night. Momma told me about the jail, I was too young to know, Why the people that you love sometimes become your foes. She packed us up and moved us, Arizona became home, Grandma, brothers, sisters, suddenly I wasn’t alone. New school, new life, but the old pain came with me, Some memories become shadows that you carry silently. School wasn’t really my thing, but running felt different, Put me on the track and I could feel my spirit lifting. Friends told me, “Stay with track, you got a gift inside,” But I couldn’t see the blessing, I was searching for a guide. When I made mistakes in class, sometimes the punishment was pain, Those memories still echo like thunder in my brain. Maybe Momma had her struggles, only God knows what she felt, But the child inside remembers every scar that it was dealt. I don’t carry hate, I just speak what I survived, Because sometimes telling truth is how the wounded come alive. God saw that little boy when nobody understood, He planted something in my heart that would eventually become good. [HOOK] I came through the fire, but the fire didn’t take me, Walked through the darkness, but the darkness couldn’t break me. Every scar on my soul got a story underneath, I was lost inside the storm, now I’m walking with belief. SILL-E, that’s the name, God gave me through the pain, Turned the tears into music, turned the struggle into change. I don’t understand the road, but I’m thankful for the ride, Every time I almost fell, Lord, You were by my side. [VERSE 2 — TEENAGE YEARS / LOSS] High school came, my friends said, “Stay focused on the track,” But temptation wore a smile and I couldn’t turn it back. House parties, drinking, smoking, chasing temporary highs, Had a gift beneath my feet but couldn’t recognize the prize. I followed with the crowd, started drifting from my lane, Looking for acceptance while avoiding all the pain. Didn’t graduate on time, had to finish through the summer, But I made it across the line—I refused to let it crumble. Then my best friend got murdered, everything became real, That’s the kind of pain that makes your whole existence still. Yesterday you’re laughing, then tomorrow someone’s gone, That’s when I learned tomorrow isn’t something promised by the dawn. I left Arizona behind, went to stay with my brother, Looking for another life, trying to discover something greater. I thought I was escaping, maybe God was changing routes, Moving pieces on a chessboard I couldn’t figure out. I carried all my memories, carried grief inside my chest, But somewhere in that journey God was leading me to rest. I didn’t know the purpose, couldn’t see beyond the pain, Sometimes God moves you through the storm before He shows you why it rained. [VERSE 3 — PURPOSE / SILL-E / GOD] Now I look back at my life and I see it differently, Every scar became a chapter, every loss became a key. The child became a runner, the runner became a man, The man became a creator trying to understand God’s plan. I made mistakes, had regrets, took some roads I wouldn’t choose, But every wrong direction gave me something I could use. Pain became a teacher, every failure made me stronger, Every time I thought I couldn’t, God said, “Keep moving longer.” Now I’m creating music, putting stories in the beat, Turning trauma into verses, giving broken people speech. SILL-E isn’t just a name, it’s everything I’ve been, The child, the scars, the struggle, the losses, and the wins. I can forgive the past without pretending it was right, I can honor where I came from without living there tonight. I don’t have to be my trauma, I don’t have to be my pain, God can take a broken story and still make something great. Forty-seven years behind me, and I’m thankful I’m alive, Still creating, still believing, still refusing not to rise. If you hear my story, know your ending isn’t written, Sometimes God uses broken pieces to create a brand-new vision. So here’s to every scar, every tear, every fight, Every road that disappeared and every wrong that became right. I don’t know what tomorrow brings, but one thing I know inside— After everything I’ve been through… God was always by my side. [OUTRO — SOFT VOCALS] For the little boy… For the runner… For my friend… For every mistake… For every scar… For every blessing… I’m still here. SILL-E… Still here. Still creating. Still believing. Still walking with God.
