[Verse 1] We had a little apartment A little world of our own Coffee on the counter Your shoes beside the door We talked about forever Like forever had no end Funny how the future Can disappear so fast [Pre-Chorus] I still see us In every plan we made Still hear your voice In every empty space [Chorus] We were almost forever Almost everything Almost the kind of love That never had to leave We were almost forever Almost made it through I had almost everything When I had you [Drop Hook] Almost forever Almost forever Almost with you [Verse 2] Maybe we were younger Maybe love moved too fast Maybe all the pressure Turned the future into past But I don’t regret you Not a single day Some loves never stay But never go away [Chorus] We were almost forever Almost everything Almost the kind of love That never had to leave We were almost forever Almost made it through I had almost everything When I had you [Final Drop] Almost forever Almost forever Almost with you
