Selene in the Labyrinth
[Verse 1 ] She thought she knew the building well. Each hallway had its story to tell. But one day, every wall had moved. The lights blinked wrong. The doors refused. She wasn’t dreaming. She was awake. But something cracked beneath the fake. The floor plan failed. The ceiling bent. She walked inside—then it all went silent. [Pre-Chorus] She saw a girl who looked like her, But sadder, smaller, more unsure. And on the wall, a phrase she feared: “You won’t believe what disappears.” [Chorus] She asked, “Am I still who I was, If no one knows and time just does?” She touched the glass, but it stayed cold. No answer came. But she felt old. [Verse 2] Each room showed pieces out of place— A childhood scene, a stranger’s face. One mirror flashed a memory wrong, A voice she swore had been long gone. She tried to leave but found no gate. The place was calm. The hour was late. She whispered out into the air— “Does anybody know I’m there?” [Pre-Chorus 2] “What if I made it all up true? What if I dreamed someone like you?” A mirror blinked, a wall grew warm— She touched it gently… then a door formed. [Chorus] She said, “I may be lost and small, But I exist. I’ve seen it all.” No crown, no flame, no place to shine— Just breathing through and feeling fine. [Bridge] She’s not a myth, not built for fame. She’s just a girl who kept her name. [Final Chorus] And far away, a melody Floats through a wall she couldn’t see. She doesn't know the song just yet— But every step remembers it.
