Beyond the hills, beneath the stone An ancient dragon made its throne Its wings were black, its eyes were flame The kingdom trembled at its name Then came the knight Through ash and fire Sword in his hand Heart full of ire Dragon! Dragon! Burning in the sky! Dragon! Dragon! Tonight it dies! Steel against the ancient flame The knight will break the dragon's reign! He crossed the fields where shadows crawled Past broken gates and kingdoms fallen He climbed the mountain, cold and grim The dragon's fire waited for him The beast arose The heavens shook The knight stood firm And never looked Dragon! Dragon! Burning in the sky! Dragon! Dragon! Tonight it dies! Steel against the ancient flame The knight will break the dragon's reign! Fire fell The mountain cried Steel was raised The dragon died Dragon! Dragon! Falling from the sky! Dragon! Dragon! At last it dies! Steel against the ancient flame The knight has broken the dragon's reign! And when the morning filled the land The kingdom saw the knight still stand The dragon's crown lay in the snow And songs of his great deed still grow
