[Verse 1] They laid Him down behind the stone The world believed that hope was gone But morning came with heaven’s light And death surrendered to His might [Pre-Chorus] The grave could never hold the King Now all creation starts to sing [Chorus] He rolled the stone away He turned the night to day The Savior rose, the battle won Forever lives the risen Son He rolled the stone away And gave my heart a brand-new day [Verse 2] The scars remained upon His hands A sign of love that always stands He paid the price I could not pay Then walked alive into the day [Chorus] He rolled the stone away He turned the night to day The Savior rose, the battle won Forever lives the risen Son He rolled the stone away And gave my heart a brand-new day [Verse 3] And when my road is dark with fear I know my risen Lord is near No grave, no chain, no endless night Can overcome His saving light [Bridge] The cross was not the final word The stone was moved, the truth was heard The King of Heaven lives today My Jesus rolled the stone away [Chorus] He rolled the stone away He turned the night to day The Savior rose, the battle won Forever lives the risen Son He rolled the stone away And gave my heart a brand-new day [Outro] My Savior lives, my hope will stay Jesus rolled the stone away Forevermore my heart will say He rolled the stone away [The End]
