First things first

metalcore, electronic rock, industrial-leaning EDM, aggressive alternative

[Intro]
(Heavy, melodic guitar riff starts - think modern Architects style)
(Drums kick in with a fast double-bass pattern)
(Distorted scream: YEAH!)

[Verse 1]
The asphalt’s cold where I took the fall
The echoes of the shadows, they used to feel so tall
We count the bruises like they’re silver and gold
A story of a fire that refused to grow cold
It’s not the damage, it’s the way that we mend
Finding a beginning where we thought was the end

[Pre-Chorus]
(Music builds up, snare rolls)
Stop looking back at the bridge that burned
It’s just another lesson that we had to learn!
(Clean vocals)
Take a breath, clear the haze
Step out from the static maze!

[Chorus]
(Anthemic, soaring clean vocals with heavy backing)
First things first!
We ascend from the hurt
We’re rewriting the chapter, we’re rising from dirt!
First things first!
Let the bitter days fade
Be the master of the progress that you’ve made
It’s not a scar, it’s a light that shines through
First things first: I’m coming back for you!

[Verse 2]
(Chugging rhythmic guitars - "djent" influence)
The weight of the world? Yeah, it’s lighter today
Since I stopped carrying the ghosts in my way
Every "no", every "lost", every "never again"
Was a brick in the fortress where I’m standing, my friend!
(Grit in the voice)
Don't mourn the time that slipped through your hands
Just plant your feet on the shifting sands!

[Bridge]
(Half-time breakdown feel, heavy but melodic)
(Screamed/Shouted)
LEAN INTO THE STRUGGLE!
(Clean)
It made you who you are.
(Screamed)
LEAN INTO THE STRUGGLE!
(Clean)
You’ve traveled so far.
The pain is a teacher, the failure’s a tool
Don't let the memory play you for a fool!
(Build up)
GO!

[Chorus]
(Full energy, double-time drums)
First things first!
We ascend from the hurt
We’re rewriting the chapter, we’re rising from dirt!
First things first!
Let the bitter days fade
Be the master of the progress that you’ve made
It’s not a scar, it’s a light that shines through
First things first: I’m coming back for you!

[Outro]
(Melodic lead guitar solo)
First things first...
(Whispered)
Start again.
(Explosive final chord)
(Screamed)
RISE!
