In a house by the trees, Pooh woke slow and pleased One paw on his tummy, One thought in his beans He followed the scent, To a jar near the bend If the day is a doorway, Then honey's a friend He never ran far, He never pushed through He'd sit with the sky And ask, "What’s true?" Take it slow, take it small Love the day and share it all Pooh said, "Simple is enough" (simple is enough) Take it slow, take it small Friends are better than it all When your heart is full of fluff (full of fluff) Piglet shook in the grass, Then found he could last When Eeyore went drifting, Pooh stayed by him at last Tigger sprang through the lane, All bounce and all flame Rabbit counted the carrots, Then still knew his name And Owl told a tale Too fancy, too long But Pooh laughed softly And kept moving on Take it slow, take it small Love the day and share it all Pooh said, "Simple is enough" (simple is enough) Take it slow, take it small Friends are better than it all When your heart is full of fluff (full of fluff) When the wind got cold, And the path looked thin He found that the answer Was where friends had been A pot of gold can fade, A perfect plan can break But kindness leaves a doorway Any heart can take Take it slow, take it small Love the day and share it all Pooh said, "Simple is enough" (simple is enough) Take it slow, take it small Friends are better than it all If you wander, you’ll come home (come home) To a heart that knows its stuff (simple is enough)
