The Last Door Was Open
I walked through a thousand locked doors, each one with a name I used to forget. Regret. Grief. Longing. But this one… this one was open. There is light in this silence, there is peace in the storm, we arrived without banners, but we’re finally warm. The mirrors stopped screaming, the clocks lost their fight, no more ghosts in the hallway, no more fear of the night. Now we dance with no mask, now we breathe with no task, we are here, we are whole, in the glow of our role. We reached the end , and it sings! The bells ring with forgotten things. We laugh through the dust, we rise from the pain, may this joy never vanish again. Let it stay… don’t let it fade. Don’t let the colors turn to grey. The shadows have rhythm, they tap on the floor, and even the crows don’t scream anymore. The wind is a choir, the trees clap in tune, and somewhere above us is a patient old moon. We reached the end — and it sings! The bells ring with forgotten things. We laugh through the dust, we rise from the pain, may this joy never vanish again. So let us stay in this ending, this unlikely peace. Let us sip the silence… and not jinx the feast.
