Verse 1 Black snow falls on the city lights The bells ring out, but they sound like knives A choir hums from a distant street Like ghosts awake from their winter sleep Pre-Chorus And every step echoes through the cold A midnight hymn the darkness holds Chorus Black snow bells Calling me home again Through the smoke and the silence Where the shadows never end Black snow bells Ring in the night for me In the heart of December Where the lost come home to be Verse 2 Red lights burn in the frosted air A broken song drifts everywhere The sleigh bells shake with a hollow sound Like memories you can’t put down Pre-Chorus The winter wind whispers like a prayer To every soul who lingers there Chorus Black snow bells Calling me home again Through the smoke and the silence Where the shadows never end Black snow bells Ring in the night for me In the heart of December Where the lost come home to be Bridge The choir fades, the sky grows still But the night keeps ringing on the hill Outro Let the bells keep calling Till the winter breaks
