[Verse 1] I woke up at noon, sun streaming through the glass Time to find my nap spot, let’s make it fast But the green bin’s taken, Roo’s holding his throne He’s the king of Sudbourne, so I leave him alone Next stop, the sofa, where Hiccup’s spread wide A tummy full of snacks and a lazy cat pride Tried the window ledge, but a plant’s in my way This search for a nap’s gonna ruin my day [Chorus] Running ‘round the house, where’s my special spot? Every favorite space, someone else has got Purring in my chest, but I’m still on the move When I find that perfect place, I’m praying they won’t move [Verse 2] The laundry’s all folded, but bags block my climb Tried the bed upstairs, too bouncy this time Found a patch of sunlight on the kitchen floor But Steel the dog growled, so I’m out the door Vali’s got a mission, can’t you feel my pace? Every corner I try, it’s just not my space Then I spot a lap, human hands on their book Oh, this might be perfect, let me take a look [Chorus] Running ‘round the house, where’s my special spot? Every favorite space, someone else has got Purring in my chest, but I’m still on the move When I find that perfect place, I’m praying they won’t move [Bridge] Soft piano solo with sultry sax riff Sound of pawsteps and a light ‘meow’ Human’s lap is warm, and the book is long They shift, I freeze, but the vibe feels strong I knead the blanket, stretch, and curl my tail Finally found my place, no way this can fail [Outro Hook] Found my special spot, where I fit just right Purring on a lap in the soft lamplight Vali’s nap achieved, I’m the queen of this scene Now don’t you dare move, or you’ll face the feline queen [Fade Out] ****Contented purring fades into silence***
