[Verse] I got hold of a promise hidden inside God's Word Four simple words easily overlooked but desperately need to be heard Cause if you're hurting they'll help you Give you a reason to go on Fight the fight of faith, keep running the race They're the reason I wrote this song [Chorus] It came to pass. It didn't come here to stay The worst things in life won't last Even death is not the end of the way It came to pass, don't you worry, don't you be afraid At the end of the darkest night, the light will dawn Just remember, it came to pass [Verse 2] I know life is a struggle. It tries to drag us down We take three steps forward and two steps back. In a circle, we keep spinning around But I am here to remind you There is coming a day When all tears will be wiped from our eyes Pain and sorrow will vanish all away [Chorus] It came to pass. It didn't come here to stay The worst things in life won't last Even death is not the end of the way It came to pass, don't you worry, don't you be afraid At the end of the darkest night, the light will dawn Just remember, it came to pass [Bridge] It came to pass, It came to pass. Trouble and sorrow, they won't last. It came to pass. It came to pass. Always remember, it came to pass. [Repart Chorus] [Tag] Instrumental
