Velvet Silver Light

“The Sky Sings You to Sleep” Hush now, love… The atmosphere curls close tonight, A velvet breath of silver light. It drapes the world in gentle blue, And hums a lullaby for you. It smooths the clouds with tender hands, Lets starlight spill across the land. It rocks the moon in a cradle high, And sighs soft winds that wander by. It gathers dreams in quiet air, And lays them softly in your hair. A drifting kiss, a feathered sweep — The sky is singing you to sleep. So close your eyes, let night unfold, Wrapped in warmth the heavens hold. The whole wide world grows calm and deep… And the atmosphere keeps watch while you sleep.
