When the heart of the world ceased to burn And the stars wept in silver descent The voice of love was swallowed by ash Leaving only echoes in the wind. One seeks the memory of warmth One bears the burden of truth One walks with shadows, unknowing All are bound by the thread undone. She once danced upon oceans of light Her tears forged the dawn But now she sleeps beneath stone Awaiting the call that never comes. Not gold, nor power, nor peace But the breath between two souls Lost in the turning of time A gift unclaimed, a promise broken. And so the world turned without love Its skies dimmed, its rivers stilled Yet in the silence, a whisper remains— “Remember me, and I shall return.”
