Freakquency Flush: Apnea | Let the Night Breathe

+ Show full styles

[Ocean waves, low bowl] [Soft spoken, slow] Settle now... let the body find its weight. The water is here — calm, warm, holding everything. Nothing to do. Just this breath... and the tide. [Framing] This gentle time is for apnea — the breath that pauses in the night. Not to fix you. You were never broken. Only to visit one doorway, softly: the first time... the worst time... the last time... or the worry about the next. Let whichever wants to, come forward. No forcing. Only as far as feels good today. [Box breathing] Breathe with me, slow as the tide. In through the nose... two... three... four. Hold, soft... two... three... four. Out through the mouth, slow as fog off the water... five... six... seven... eight. Rest, empty... two... three... four. [Ocean drum] Again... in... hold... out, twice as long — the old leaving over the sea... and rest. [Tender] If a doorway opened, sit beside what's there. You're not going back — you're visiting, grown and safe. [Pause] If it feels safe, travel back to the very first breath. How did it feel to arrive? Panic... overwhelm... no control? You made it. Tell that arriving one: the air is friendly now. [Pause] When did night stop feeling safe? What waits in the dark? Was the fear even yours... or carried down the family line, from nights your people had to survive? Set the old night on the sand. You remain. [Pause] How did love arrive when you were small? Warm one day, cold the next... a cup half full? When you cried at night, did comfort come? If it didn't... give it now. Hand on the chest: I have you. [Pause] When did staying quiet — holding the breath — keep you safe? What were you hiding from? Are you still hiding? Tell that small one: you can let go now. I've got us. [Pause] What happened when you had needs? It was never wrong to need... to want to be held. The shame was never yours. Let the water rinse it away. [Pause] Where does your strength go all day? Who, or what, drains the life from you? So much love flows out... so little allowed in. Does help seem to arrive with a price? This sound is only for you. Receive. [Pause] The weights you carry — which were truly yours? Set down what belongs to someone else. [Pause] Maybe sleep became the only room where feeling was allowed... the only escape. You don't have to drown there now. Feel a little here — awake, in small sips, held. [Pause] If worry became a familiar friend, thank it for keeping watch... the watch is over now. If anger is there, name it. Whose is it? Beneath it, grief may wait. Let it be witnessed. [Pause] One last question. What does the body want to escape from? Ask the heart, not the head: what help do you need? One word. Just one. Listen... [Long pause] Whatever came... it is heard. Help is allowed. You are allowed. [The Flush — deep slow drum] The tide rises through you, one clear current, lifting old silt, washing it out to sea. [sung "O"] At the base of you — red, warm as cinnamon at the spine. What was never yours lifts away. You are worthy of roots. You belong. [sung "Oo"] Below the navel — orange, soft as a rose. The water in you moves — giving and receiving, both. Silt lifts... and goes. [sung "Ah"] The upper belly — gold, warm as ginger. Where there was a hollow, amber light pours in. Your power returns — no longer the price of love. Your gut is your compass. [sung "Ay"] The chest — green as a garden after rain. Lungs open, soft as chamomile. Love flows out... and in. Grief lifts like silt. Thank it as it goes. Love stays. [sung "Ee"] The throat — blue as deep water, where the true voice rests. Every swallowed word rinses free. Your voice heals. [sung "Mm"] Between the brows — indigo, calm as lavender. The fog clears. A future with light in it. [sung "Ng"] The top of the head — violet light, open as sky. The current rises all the way through... clear water, clear signal. [Old Crap Clearing — gong] One more gift. A gentle magnet at the bottom of your chin... gliding up over the face, over the crown, down the back of the neck — drawing the old charge out. Let it release as it sweeps. One. Again... chin... crown... neck... silt lifting free. Two. Slower... up, over, away... lighter now. Three. One last pass... and gone. Four. And one more gentle way this old energy is released — everywhere it began, everywhere it was stored. We let it go: right and wrong, good and bad, Point of Creation, Point of Destruction, all nine, shorts, boys, and beyonds. And it is done. [Return — chimes] The water is lighter. You are the clear current. I am open to receive. I am worthy of roots, of belonging. Help is allowed. Rest is allowed. I am allowed. When you rise, drink water — keep the river moving. Move the body: a walk, a wiggle, whatever feels natural. The night is safe now. The breath knows the way. [Whispered] With infinite love and gratitude — and so it is. [Waves fading]
