[Verse 1] Blessed is the one who walks upright Who shuns the shadows avoids the night They won’t be caught where sinners linger Their steps are sure their truth won’t wither [Chorus] Planted firm by the riverside Roots go deep where waters guide Leaves don’t fade they stand and grow Bearing fruit in the currents' flow [Verse 2] The wicked twist like chaff they fly Wind will scatter them when it’s high They won't stand firm in justice's call Their ground crumbles their kingdoms fall [Bridge] The Lord knows the path of the free But the wicked’s way fades like the sea Bright is the way where blessings gleam Dark the path of the shattered dream [Verse 3] Meditate day and night they sing Delight found under wisdom's wing Law a beacon a guiding fire Words of life they inspire desire [Chorus] Planted firm by the riverside Roots go deep where waters guide Leaves don’t fade they stand and grow Bearing fruit in the currents’ flow
