Wanting to believe (Remastered)

[Verse] You stare at the sky but it won’t turn blue Hoping for answers but they never come through The mirror whispers lies you want to believe But the truth hides behind the tricks up its sleeve [Chorus] You might want to believe but what you want ain't true The stars don’t align just because you want them to Chasing shadows in the dark won’t bring the light What you want ain't true no matter how hard you fight [Verse 2] You build castles out of whispers in the air Stacking dreams on foundations that aren’t there You call it fate but it’s just your own disguise A house of cards tumbling under your own lies [Chorus] You might want to believe but what you want ain't true The stars don’t align just because you want them to Chasing shadows in the dark won’t bring the light What you want ain't true no matter how hard you fight [Bridge] The heart's a gambler but the odds are thin Rolling the dice on a game you’ll never win The truth is a stranger you don’t want to meet But it’s knocking on the door of your defeat [Chorus] You might want to believe but what you want ain't true The stars don’t align just because you want them to Chasing shadows in the dark won’t bring the light What you want ain't true no matter how hard you fight
