Storm of the Longships - Every Metal Genre Series #9

V3.5

[Intro – Thunderous drums, chanting warriors, crashing waves] (Oars strike the waves, the storm calls our names…) (Wind howls, sea roars, the gods demand war…) [Verse 1 – Heavy, driving riffs, deep growled vocals] Steel in hand, fire in heart, From frozen shores, we tear apart. The dragon prow cuts through the tide, By Odin’s will, we march with pride! Lightning cracks, the sky is torn, Through mist and blood, we are reborn. The Allfather’s gaze upon our fight, No fear remains, only might! [Chorus – Powerful, chant-like vocals] Row! Row! The sea is our grave! Row! Row! Our enemies quake! With iron and fury, we carve our fate, Valhalla calls, there’s no escape! [Verse 2 – Guitars galloping like hooves, a sense of urgency] The clash of steel, the cries of pain, Ravens feast on battle’s slain. The weak will fall, the strong will reign, Our saga sung in blood and flame! Skulls are crushed, the shields are torn, Our conquest shines in crimson morn. We sail, we fight, we take, we burn, No land too far, no foe returns! [Bridge – Slower, atmospheric, with haunting choirs] The wind carries whispers of fallen kin… The waves sing the names of those lost within… But still, we ride, like thunder we rise… For glory, for honor, for Odin’s prize! [Chorus – Even more intense, layered growls and chants] Row! Row! The sea is our grave! Row! Row! Our enemies quake! With iron and fury, we carve our fate, Valhalla calls, there’s no escape! [Outro – Acoustic fade-out, somber yet triumphant] The storm fades, the longships rest… But echoes of war still haunt the west. Through sagas sung, our deeds remain, For one day, we shall rise again…
