TWO KINDS OF DRIVERS - Dark Twang • Heavy 808s • Cold, Clean, Menacing

Some drivers join my lobby like wolves in the night, Say they wanna roll hard, say they’re ready to ride. But when they see the freight — triple load, heavy steel — They vanish in the shadows like it wasn’t even real. Two kinds of drivers on this long black road: The ones who wanna follow… and the ones who explode. They talk about rolling, but they don’t last long, When the haul hits three thousand, they’re already gone. First type sees the trailer, then they hit disconnect, They thought they were outlaws — turns out they just pretend. They follow to the depot, acting tough, acting bold, But when the job pops up, they ghost before it’s cold. Second type wants a dry van, something quick, something clean, Till they see “3 hours IRL” glowing on the screen. They freeze, they panic, they run from the grind, Long haul ain’t for tourists — it’s for a different kind. Two kinds of drivers on this long black road: The ones who stay steady… and the ones who fold. I ride alone in the dark, engine humming low, If you can’t take the distance, then you’re better off to go. So when you join my lobby, better know what’s true: I don’t chase, I don’t beg — I just roll right through. Real drivers stay with me, the rest fade like dust, On the highway of the outlaws, only steel earns trust.
