[Verse 1] The world outside is hushed and white A brand new canvas, bathed in light Tiny dancers, soft they fall Whispering secrets to us all Like shattered diamonds, pure and bright Each one a marvel, a sweet delight No two the same, a wondrous art Falling gently on my heart. [Chorus] Oh, snowflakes, snowflakes, a Christmas dream Falling softly, a silent stream Each a crystal, fragile, grand A gift of beauty from God's own hand They carpet pathways, soft and deep While weary travelers secrets keep Of firesides warm and laughter near And hearts that wait to hold us dear. [Verse 2] The carriage wheels begin to creak Through drifts of white, a whispered streak The journey long, the winter's bite But hope is burning, ever bright Remembering stories, tales of old Of kings and shepherds, brave and bold Who followed stars, a guiding gleam To find a promise, a holy dream. [Bridge] And when we reach that welcoming door The joy of giving, we can't ignore A thoughtful present, wrapped with care A token of love we long to share The scent of pine, a festive hue And faces smiling, old and true Gathered 'round the table bright For Christmas dinner, pure delight. [Outro] So let the snowflakes softly glide With love and peace, they will preside A gentle blessing, pure and free Merry Christmas, from you to me. Oh, snowflakes, falling… on Christmas Eve.
