3058 - The Illusion of Freedom at the Supermarket

[Intro Theremin sound] [Verse] Doesn't it seem incredible to you This thing about freedom That seems like it but isn't... That sounds like an illusion [Pre-chorus] It's incredible that we don't see it That we keep believing [Chorus] Free consumers With full-time dreams Free consumers With full-time dreams With full-time dreams With full-time dreams [Post-Chorus] Full-time Full-time Full-time Full-time [Verse 2] Doesn't it seem incredible to you That our free time Is time to consume Is a dream we need to work [Verse 3] Loyalty cards Smiles in shopping malls "You choose" But it's already written what will make you feel special Shelves full Empty head Hands that fill up Another Saturday Sold off in installments in an anonymous corridor [Chorus] This is the illusion of freedom ? We choose the color of the same cage They call advertising "free time" That takes your breath and turns it into a showcase Is this the illusion of freedom? We think we're different in line at the checkout You come home tired But of what effort? It's only the cart that drags you along [Verse 4] Relax... The banner says as you scroll your phone Another click And it's already late to turn off the background noise Weekend deals Vacation packages with ten photographs They sell you the sea But you sit there counting the installments... The hours... The holidays... The illusion of freedom IN WHICH...... [Bridge] When was the last time That you wasted time instead of the signal? That you spent an hour Without thinking if it's worth it? If you close your eyes Is there really anything left to buy? [Chorus] Is this the illusion of freedom? We choose the color of the same cage They call advertising "free time" That takes your breath and turns it into a showcase This is the illusion of freedom But if you stop Maybe it cracks You go home tired But from what effort?
