This Eternal Play (feat. Sue Psych) [PC101]
This song is part of the Poetry Club Rumi Poetry Collaboration, a collaboration with world-renowned poet, translator, and Suno creator Jonathan Star (https://suno.com/@jsomusica), working with the translations of the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi from his book "In the Arms of the Beloved." Creating this version was a multi-step process, largely due to the mispronunciation of the word Shams in the [Base] version--the version originally generated by Suno, on which this version of the song is based. I hadn't realized the word was mispronounced, and edited the [Base] version in Studio to create the [First Draft] version, mixing the stems and adding stereo effects. I was told in the Poetry Club discord about the mispronunciation of Shams. So I took the [Base] version of the song into the Legacy Editor (I've not figured out the new Editor yet, and sometimes it just acts weird). In the Legacy Editor, I managed to correct the pronunciation of Shams, and also tweaked the pronunciation of Tabriz, which had also sounded off to me. Applying the replacements in the Legacy Editor created the [Mod Base] version of the song, as well as the replacement section. I then opened up the Studio session I'd used to create the [First Draft] version, and used the replacement section produced by the Legacy Editor to edit the [First Draft] version and create this version of the track. You can visit my Poetry Club playlist to find the different versions of this track and the short replacement section created in the Legacy Editor. +++++ +++++ +++++ +++++ +++++ +++++ +++++ +++++ [Intro] [Begin Poem 1, This Eternal Play] [Verse 1] At dawn The Moon Appeared In the sky It floated down And looked at me Then like a hawk Snatching its prey It grabbed hold of me And dragged me Across... the sky [Instrumental Break] [Verse 2] When I looked I Could not see myself by The magic Of the Moon’s light My body dissolved in To pure spirit in This form I journeyed on Merging with A boundless light Then the secret Of this eternal play Opened up before me [Verse 3] The nine Spheres of heaven Were enveloped in Light the ship of my Soul was lost in A shoreless Sea... . [Verse 4] Suddenly the Sea Of Being formed into waves Thoughts rose up Images and forms Broke on the shore Then everything returned To the way it was before Merging into that vast Spirit [Instrumental] [Verse 5] The fortune of this sight Comes from Shams The Truth of Tabriz Without his grace no one could ever Ride the Moon Or become the endless Sea [End Poem 1, Begin Poem 2, Untitled] [Verse 6] Like a flower’s sweet nectar You were born laughing The planets say you will be The~ Happiest man In the world You~ Are graceful Like the stem Of a flower And free like The tower-ing Cypress [Electric Guitar Solo] [Outro] But There is something Very strange About this cypress— [Finale] It’s flying!
