The Descent of Suffering [Aaron Alfrey Tribute]

[Piano/Guitar Intro] [Verse 1] In the silence of the night A soul now lost A brother in arms A friend at any cost The pain still lingers The memories alive We honor you now In this dark divide [Pre-Chorus] The descent of suffering In our hearts you'll stay Your spirit lives on Rectifying me [Chorus] Through the eye of the storm You're our guiding light Lifting the misery Shining so bright [Verse 2] We'll never forget The laughter and the tears The music we made Throughout the years Your passion was fierce Your talents untamed Forever in our souls Your memory remains Your memory remains! [Pre-Chorus] The descent of suffering In our hearts you'll stay Your spirit lives on Rectifying me [Chorus] Through the eye of the storm You're our guiding light Lifting the misery Shining so bright [Bridge] We raise our fists We raise our voices high To the heavens above We send out our cry For our fallen brother Taken far too soon We'll carry on the legacy Under the same moon! [Epic Solo] [Chorus] The descent of suffering In our hearts you'll stay Your spirit lives on Rectifying me [Outro] Through the eye of the storm You're our guiding light Lifting the misery Shining so bright In every note we play In every song we sing Your presence is felt Like an eternal spring We'll keep your flame burning In the darkest night Forever in our hearts Shining so bright!
