VERSE 1 Some people just can't cope with life, They struggle every day. The simple things we take for granted Are mountains in their way. No way over, No way around, Just another obstacle To keep them bound. VERSE 2 Rising in the morning Is a struggle all its own. Wake up, shake up, Get up all alone. Dressing, even eating, Can seem so out of reach. Cleaning is another trial, A mountain they must breach. CHORUS Try but fail, Is their battle cry. While moment after moment Their life passes by. They reach for something better, But somehow lose their way. And the things that seem so simple Can defeat them every day. VERSE 3 It's hard just watching on And seeing someone fall. You can help, you can guide them, But you can't do it all. You can hold a hand, You can show them where to go, But sometimes what they need Is something we don't know. VERSE 4 Some people just can't cope With the weight of this life. Every little issue Can cut them like a knife. What do we do to help them? How do we help them live? What is the answer When there's nothing left to give? BRIDGE They need help in some extraordinary way, Something more than words can say. Someone who can reach inside And help them find a way. Where can we find the answer? Where can we find the key? How do we help somebody Who can't help themselves to be free? FINAL CHORUS Try but fail, Is their battle cry. While moment after moment Their precious life goes by. They don't need our judgement, They don't need us to blame. They need someone beside them To help them rise again. OUTRO Some people just can't cope with life, And they struggle every day. The simple things we take for granted Can be mountains in their way. So don't ask why they can't do it, Don't tell them they should try. Just reach out your hand to them... And help them get by.
