Christmas in Tahiti

[Verse] I had a white summer and a white winter too What’s with all the snowing I haven’t got a clue The frost keeps biting my poor frozen toes I’m tired of this whitewash where the cold wind blows [Chorus] Give me Christmas in Tahiti Where the palm trees sway I don’t look good in fleeces And I can’t ski anyway Let me sip from a coconut Watch the sunsets gleam Christmas in Tahiti A warm tropical dream [Verse 2] The chief just laughed when I made my plea He said “Snow’s your destiny Just wait and see” But I’ve got my bikini bod I’m ready to go Swap this blizzard for a beach Trade the ice for the glow [Prechorus] I’m packing my suitcase Leaving behind the freeze Sunshine’s my savior Begging on my knees [Chorus] Give me Christmas in Tahiti Where the palm trees sway I don’t look good in fleeces And I can’t ski anyway Let me sip from a coconut Watch the sunsets gleam Christmas in Tahiti A warm tropical dream [Bridge] No more mittens no more scarves no more sleet Just sandy shores and waves that kiss my feet I’ll hang my stockings on a tiki torch light Santa can find me in the moonlit night
