[SPOKEN — DO NOT SING] What would you do... if the Peacemaker showed you the future? In the Book of Pohrihehnsiht... that is exactly what happens. Pohrihehnsiht doesn't consider himself a great writer. He admits his weakness. He admits his faults. But the Haymehnay presses upon him... and so he writes. One night... Pohrihehnsiht enters the sacred Tuhhuhlnuhmtsipi. He sits near the altar... becomes tired... and falls asleep. Then he hears a voice. He rises. He kneels. And before him appears a man. Pohrihehnsiht asks who He is. The answer comes: “I am the Peacemaker.” The Peacemaker tells him to look at the altar. At first... Pohrihehnsiht sees nothing extraordinary. Just ordinary workmanship. Then the Peacemaker says: Look again. Suddenly the altar appears like flowing glass. Creation opens before his eyes. The winds... the land... the world... and then... the future. He sees forests fall. The Earth shakes. Mountains collapse. Rivers change. Seas rise. The air becomes like fire. Cities are swallowed. And frightened people cry out. Pohrihehnsiht sees all of this... and asks the question any of us might ask: What will happen to the people I love? And the Peacemaker answers: “Fear not for them that keep my Way.” They will be preserved. Even they... and their children. Then the vision changes. The storm passes. The Earth rests. The land begins to heal. And what are the people doing? Something very simple. They quietly pick up... the fork and the hoe. They plant again. They build again. Families live together in peace. Parents teach their children... the ways of the Peacemaker. And then comes the promise: “I will walk with them, for I will not leave them.” Maybe that's the whole message of Pohrihehnsiht. We can become fascinated with prophecy. We can worry about earthquakes... wars... cities... and everything that might happen tomorrow. But the Peacemaker points us somewhere else. Keep my Way. Don't live in fear. Teach the children. Choose peace. And when the storm passes... plant again. Build again. Love again. Because preparation isn't knowing every detail of the future. Preparation is knowing the Peacemaker so well... that whatever comes... we still know how to walk His Way. [SING — VERY SHORT REFRAIN] Fear not... Keep His Way... He will walk beside us... Day by day. [END IMMEDIATELY]
