Kraken Hunting Pirates Shanty

+ Show full styles

Hoist the black! The sea runs red! We’ll hunt the beast ’til it lies dead! Boom go the guns, the black seas shake! The Kraken’s come, the world’s at stake! The storm is howlin’, the timbers groan, We sail where no sane soul has flown. The depths are stirrin’, the waves run black, The Kraken waits—there’s no turnin’ back! Heave ho, lads, heave ho! Strike the beast in the undertow! Raise your steel, let the cannons roar, We’ll drag the Kraken to Death’s dark shore! From out the deep where the dead men sleep, The monster rises, the waters leap. Its tentacles lash, like whips they crack, But our cannons thunder, we’ll drive it back! Fire the guns—BOOM, let ’em roar! Kraken’s hide split to the core! Smoke and flame on the raging tide, We’ll blast that beast ‘til the sea runs wide! (Captain) “Who braves the maw of the endless deep?” (Crew) “We do, we do, our oath we keep!” (Captain) “Give it fire, lads, broadside round!” (Crew) “CANNONS THUNDER, shake the sound!” Its eyes glow red, like lanterns cursed, It drags down ships, it screams in thirst. But pistol shots ring sharp and true, The crew stands fast—aye, we’ll see it through! Heave ho, lads, heave ho! Strike the beast in the undertow! Fire the guns—BOOM, let ’em roar! Kraken’s doom forevermore! Boom… boom… boom… The Kraken sinks to a watery tomb… And our tale lives on in shanty and song. The Kraken’s come, the world’s at stake!
