Verse 1] I was wandering bare With dust on my name You called me by mine And covered my shame You placed a new song Inside my chest A weak little flame That would not rest [Pre-Chorus] When the night pressed in You were still near When I lost my road You drew me clear [Chorus] We are the chosen ones Called out of the dark We are the chosen ones Kept in Your heart Chosen ones, chosen ones You make us whole Chosen ones, chosen ones You lead us home [Verse 2] I’ve seen storm clouds break Over a dry field I’ve seen your mercy Make the hard heart yield You turn broken stones Into living praise You write Your promise Across our days [Pre-Chorus] When the walls come down And the fear runs cold Your voice still says I have made you gold [Chorus] We are the chosen ones Called out of the dark We are the chosen ones Kept in Your heart Chosen ones, chosen ones You make us whole Chosen ones, chosen ones You lead us home [Bridge] Let every shadow fall Let every chain release You are the Holy One Prince of perfect peace And if we fall again You will raise us up Your love is the fire Your grace enough [Final Chorus] We are the chosen ones Called out of the dark We are the chosen ones Kept in Your heart Chosen ones, chosen ones You make us whole Chosen ones, chosen ones You lead us home
