almost famous (for pc) we were young, sorta restless with a different sorta sound we would light up every stop on the underground in those magic hours of evening we were rebels with a cause to be living in the moment for a present of applause well, we didn't have too much money and we didn't have much of a plan just playing for a hit we would pack up the kit and head out in the back of a van you could say we were almost famous hanging out at the edge of our dreams if success should arrive and claim us would it prove to be all that it seems that year, when we did the club circuit yeah, they may have been just dives but we learned how to bargain and work it and it made us all feel alive but too many truck stop dinners and too many dive bar beers makes you think about degrees and professional careers in the end, the dream got refracted through the spotlight of reality some head to the clinic, and some to the lab and positions of responsibility you could say we were almost famous had a season at the edge of our dreams but success was not enough to tame us we sought out more conventional schemes i sure don't regret, and will not forget all those adventures we knew for the greatest lesson i ever learned is to thine own self be true we were : ... almost famous ... rjh 4oct2026 ~ sound design and illustration by rjh and suno v6 special thanks, as always, to outlaw messiah ... 🙏
