[Verse] The powers fell like shattered glass Their rule undone it could not last Through thorns and pain He claimed the crown The shadow trembled the light broke down [Chorus] Oh what triumph oh what grace The cross has won and set the pace He disarmed the strong and high Their reign is crushed beneath the sky [Verse 2] The world believed it held Him tight But love ignites an endless fight A public cry a scene so grand The victory scrawled by nail-pierced hands [Chorus] Oh what triumph oh what grace The cross has won and set the pace He disarmed the strong and high Their reign is crushed beneath the sky [Bridge] Chains are falling broken free The tender roar of Calvary He scorns the dark and lifts the meek In every soul new strength to speak [Verse 3] Now rise you children bathed in light The King has shattered endless night With scars of love He takes His stand The powers flee at His command
