Burning Lips
[Inspired by Isaiah 6] [Intro – Whispered with flame rising] I saw the throne... and I could not stand. [Verse 1 – Roared] Smoke filled the halls where angels flew The thresholds shook as glory broke through “Holy, holy,” the seraphs cried— And I fell down, unclean, denied [Verse 2 – Spoken/roared] Woe to me, I am undone My lips are ash, my heart can’t run But still He sent the burning coal Not to destroy— But make me whole [Chorus – Chanted call/response] Who will go? Here I am Whom shall I send? Send this man Your guilt removed! By flame, by grace Now speak for Me! With fire in place [Verse 3 – Roared] I rose in fear, but forged in flame No longer lost, no longer lame My mouth still stung, my pride was gone But in that pain, I found my song [Bridge – Heavy, solemn chant] He does not call the clean or right He takes the broken, sets them alight He burns the fear, He brands the word And sends them out with truth unheard [Final Chorus – Full thunder] Burning lips! Cleansed by flame! Marked with purpose, sealed by name I was nothing—now I roar The prophet walks through judgment’s door [Outro – Whispered over distant choir] He touched my mouth with living coal... and I burned to speak.
